Job description

The CIDETEC Energy Storage institute is looking for a researcher to join its staff in the Storage Systems Unit to fill the position of Sales Manager for the unit related to battery testing.

CIDETEC is an international leader in research and innovation related to surface engineering in the fields of Coatings and Surface Treatments, Polymers and Composites, and Nanosurfaces. We specialise in the treatment of surfaces and materials with state-of-the-art technologies. The researcher will work in activities related to the development of training and industrial R&D projects, in close contact with the most prominent companies in sectors such as aeronautics, automotive and energy.

 

Your contribution

You will join the Energy Storage Systems Unit, working on knowledge generation and industrial projects. They must be capable of carrying out several lines of research simultaneously, optimising resources and maximising results.

Strategy:

  • To work with the Management in defining the overall strategy of the Battery Testing Unit
  • To create, define and implement, in conjunction with the Management, the sales strategy and policy of the battery testing unit (activities, services, markets, customer typology, pricing policy, setting of sales targets, etc.).
  • To be responsible for the promotion and image of the test unit within the market.

Sales and Marketing

  • Search for and follow-up of strategic and non-strategic customers
  • Negotiating and monitoring the company's current and potential contracts.
  • Promoting the image and brand of the Test Unit during its activities.
  • Promoting and developing external networking that favours the strategic positioning of the Battery Testing unit.

Organisation and people:

  • Participating in the development and implementation of the Management Model to enable the provision of services in accordance with the established standards, promoting all actions aimed at improving the levels of communication, commitment, participation and sharing of knowledge.

Competitive surveillance

  • Analysing and understanding the market and the existing or potential competition, defining actions to improve market share and the positioning of the Battery Testing unit
  • Regularly and systematically maintaining a rigorous knowledge of the market and competition in the commercial environment, using customer satisfaction studies when considered appropriate.

Business development

  • Explore and propose market opportunities for the Battery Testing unit in order to enable new service activities and revenue streams.

Requirements

Education:

University degree and technological curiosity.

Languages:

Fluent in spoken and written English.

Having undertaken a placement abroad and more than 5 years’ work experience will be considered a plus.
