Job description

CIDETEC wishes to recruit a researcher to join its staff, working in the Energy Materials Unit.

We are seeking a researcher in the energy storage area, able to assess and manage documents relating to calls of interest, coordinating the application writing process and acting as technical secretary for projects led by Cidetec. 

 

Responsibilities:

The researcher will join the Energy Materials Unit to work on both training and company transfer projects. They must be capable of carrying out several lines of research simultaneously, optimising resources and maximising results.

The researcher will work independently, according to the work plan defined. Their main tasks will be as follows:

Continuous monitoring of the scope and progress of each task/work package in the project.

Managing the project documentation, both internal and external, including writing project reports.

Analysis of possible improvements while the project is underway.

Management of people working under them. 

Requirements

Education:

Engineering training or a Chemistry Degree (a doctoral degree will be considered a plus).

 

Languages:

High level of written and spoken English.

 

Knowledge:

The successful candidate must demonstrate sound knowledge of the following:

-              Project management experience in consultancy services for technical projects is essential.

-              Experience in European project management.

-              Knowledge of energy storage systems.

-              Team leadership skills.

-              Organisational and document management skills.

 

Knowledge of the following will also be considered an advantage:

-              New battery technologies, e.g. advanced lithium-ion, lithium-sulphur, etc.

 

Observations:

We are seeking a highly motivated person with an interest in research and innovation to join a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team. They must be able to organise their work and meet deadlines and targets.
