Job description

CIDETEC Energy Storage is looking for someone to join its Battery Testing Unit, where the batteries of the future are tested for a wide range of applications, from automotive to aerospace.

Our work covers the entire value chain, from battery chemistry to the final application. We design, develop and validate cells, modules and batteries tailored to our customers’ needs, with a clear focus on technology transfer to industry.

 

Your contribution

You will join one of the battery testing laboratories with the greatest capabilities in Europe during a period of significant growth. You will work with globally recognised customers within a team supervised by the Unit Operations Manager.

Your work will be focused on project management:

  • Take responsibility for all organisational aspects of assigned projects, from initiation to closure.
  • Monitor project execution to ensure timely, quality, and budgetary objectives are met.
  • Identify, anticipate, and mitigate risks, and communicate them internally.
  • Act as the main contact and liaison between engineering staff and external customers.
  • Identify and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key project stakeholders.
  • Work with engineering personnel to plan and ensure milestone achievement.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on project status for both clients and unit management.
  • Coordinate internal and external project meetings, including task follow-up and priority assignment.
  • Monitor project budgets and maintain clear communication with the finance department to ensure invoicing.
  • Keep project management tools and the company CRM up to date.

Requirements

Education:

Degree/Master's degree in a related discipline

Languages:

Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish. 

Knowledge:

The successful candidate will demonstrate a sound knowledge in:

  • +3 years of experience in a relevant role, e.g., project management, operations control, quality, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP/CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Prince 2, Lean Six Sigma)
  • Fully fluent in both written and spoken English and Spanish (Fluency in German will be considered a plus)
  • Strong teamwork skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Proven proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • High attention to detail and a strong sense of commitment.

 

Experience:

Experience working in a laboratory environment, testing centre, automotive sector, or energy storage systems.

 

Observations:

We are seeking a highly motivated person with an interest in research and innovation, to join a multi-disciplinary team. They must be able to organise their work and meet deadlines and targets.

Having undertaken a placement abroad and more than 5 years’ work experience will be considered a plus.
