Job description

CIDETEC Energy Storage will select a candidate to join CIDEcell, a company specialising in the production of customised cells and electrodes, tailored to the needs of the most demanding batteries.

At CIDEcell we offer a service aimed at various battery market niches, supported by CIDETEC Energy Storage, one of Europe's leading R&D centres in batteries, with over 25 years of experience in the sector. 

Your contribution

You will become part of a newly established and rapidly growing company, linked to a cutting-edge research centre focused on sustainability and the circular economy. The centre has contributed to the electrification of our roads and is already working towards a fully sustainable future.

You will work on projects related to the development and manufacturing of batteries for high-value market niches.

Your work will be focused on:

  • Defining the specifications of the battery production process, including both electrode manufacturing and cell assembly.
  • Industrialisation of new battery products.
  • Coordination of the technical team

You will also be involved in:

  • Application of the Management System.
  • Definition of improvement actions and incident resolution.
  • Drawing up technical documentation.

Requirements

Education:

Degree in Chemical Engineering. Master's degree or thesis in the field of batteries.

Languages:

Fluent in spoken and written English. 

Knowledge:

The successful candidate will demonstrate a sound knowledge in:

  • Knowledge of batteries
  • Knowledge of electrode and cell manufacturing
  • Knowledge of electrochemical characterisation techniques

 

Observations:

We are seeking a highly motivated person with an interest in research and innovation, to join a multi-disciplinary team. They must be able to organise their work and meet deadlines and targets.

Having undertaken a placement abroad and more than 3 years’ work experience will be considered a plus.
