Job description

CIDETEC Energy Storage needs to recruit a researcher to work in its Energy Materials Unit.  

 

The position will cover the needs of strategic projects and European projects in the modelling group.

Responsibilities:

The researcher will develop his/her activity mostly in the context of (European) funded research projects, and at a later stage in projects with companies, with focus in optimising the resources and maximising the results.

The selected candidate will work independently in accordance with the defined work plan.

He or she will participate in the following activities:

  • Preparation and management of European R&D&I projects
  • Analysis of how research projects fit in with European calls for funding proposals.
  • Management of the consortium during the proposal preparation process.
  • Literature and patent searches to identify new materials, technologies and processes.
  • Provide general support on research activities and projects in battery modelling.

Requirements

Education:

Doctorate/Master's Degree/Degree in chemical engineering, electro-chemistry, mathematics or similar technical studies.

Languages:

Fluent spoken and written English.

Knowledge and experience:

The successful candidate must have more than 3 years of experience in the field of battery research.

  • Experience in managing R&D projects, specially European funded programmes.
  • Familiar with battery modelling, possibly including multiphysics and data driven models, artificial intelligence concepts and/or others.
